Listen "What is Eternal"
Episode Synopsis
Christine emerged from a rough week and Paige had uplifting insights, which is a reminder to us all that we need our brothers and sisters in Christ, near and far. We tried to keep the conversation together, and the most prominent theme we talked about was remembering an eternal perspective. We consider what has eternal value. We walked into a conversation about our own eternal value, and the the misunderstanding around the popular slogan (among both believers and nonbelievers): "You are worthy!"
We talked about what value there is in remembering and reminding each other about the good things we have done. Our aim and response should not be: "See? look how OK we all are. We don't need a savior." Because our nature is corrupt and there will continue to be brokenness in and around all of us despite our best efforts. Our response should be more like, "What great mercy that God has allowed me and you to do the good work he had made for us to do since the beginning of time! He transforms my sinful heart from stone to flesh; He prunes away the dead leaves and branches off of me to help his plant (me) bear good fruit. How great is our God!"
And we give a few recommendations (below).
Next week we'll talk more about WHOSE we are. "Who does he/she belong to?" was a question that popped up in both Ruth and 1 Samuel, and we believe we belong to God. That is a deep belief, and we want to explore it.

VERSES:
"God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?" -Numbers 23:19 (God said it, through Balaam *mind blown emoji* it wasn't Moses.)
"And he who is the Glory of Israel will not lie, nor will he change his mind, for he is not human that he should change his mind!” -1Samuel 15:29
"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever." -Isaiah 40:8
"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." -1Corinthians 13:13
2Corinthians 5:10, 15,
"We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ." -2Corinthians 10:5
In response to the crowds when they said they wanted to basically be Jesus, and have power the way Jesus had power: "Jesus told them, 'This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.'” -John 6:29 Jesus is talking about how HE is the bread of life, and anyone who is HIS enjoys the eternal spiritual satisfaction, and one day, the physical will be restored to God wholly, and will never again know hunger or thirst.
