Black Women tend to develop fibroids more often than women of other races and often have more severe symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for improving health outcomes in black women with uterine fibroids. We recently had an opportunity to chop't it up with Phyllis Frempong a Registered Nurse, Fitness-Yoga Coach, Speaker, Womb Wellness Advocate, and Founder of Fibroidqueen. She empowers and coaches women that struggle with fibroids on how to think, move and eat to manage the hormonal chaos using Womb wellness programs using a mindset approach and Kiyona Miah is a native of Chester, PA. Her yoga journey began at around age 10 when she began meditating as a way to decompress after a long school day, also she was diagnosed with endometriosis at a young age. Her passion is to help women and girls realize their God-given strength and ability has afforded her with this mission assignment. Over the past 15 years, she has incorporated holistic and medical approaches to combat #endometriosis and fibroids.
