In this episode of The Glow Up Season Podcast, I talk about one of the most important lessons I've ever learned: When people show you who they are, believe them the first time. Listen in as I share a story from a few years ago with my ex that is the perfect analogy for this lesson. It involves me embodying my inner Sherlock Holmes to catch a thief! Then, I talk about some of the subtle ways people show who they are to others, so you can be more aware of how this applies to your everyday life. "People do not change for other people." Speaking negatively about others behind their backs, not treating others with respect, not showing up for you in times of need, gas lighting… those are all instances of someone showing who they truly are and chances are they won't change because you want them to! We've all experienced people who do those things I mentioned, but the real question is… What is it costing you to keep those people in your life? Be an observer. Tune in to the energy of your life and if there's someone in your beautiful, sacred energy bubble that blatantly shows you who they are over and over again, perhaps it's time to reevaluate your relationship with them. Decide what type of life you want and what type of person you want to be. Then, adjust your life to align with those visions. Do the people around you serve you and your visions?
