Episode Synopsis

After 13 years of covering comedy pretty much every single day, it's incredibly hard to take us by surprise or show us something that isn't, at the very least, reminiscent of something else we had seen before. Thanks to Sunny Zimmerman and Caitlan Moore, LBJ The Play, a meta play within a play (that's almost in another play) about an LBJ impersonator having an identity crisis was one of the most original comedy productions we had seen in awhile.
Suffice it to say, it achieved that near impossible feat of surprising us and we have been thoroughly delighted by the memory of watching its very first performance at Forget About Spaghetti Fest. So, this week's TCB Field Report talks with star Sunny Zimmerman and director Caitlan Moore to talk how creating one of the most original comedy plays we've ever seen when they didn't even originally set out to write a play.
