Episode Synopsis
DECEMBER 2 - When the World Gets Loud3-Year-Bible Reading: Proverbs 29:2–3; Psalm 2; Hebrews 1–2//3-Year Bible Devotional Book Available on Amazon//________________________________________“When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan. He who loves wisdom makes his father glad, but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.” — Proverbs 29:2–3Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.” — Psalm 2:1, 4“Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son... Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.” — Hebrews 1:1–2, 2:1________________________________________Life can feel chaotic. News, social media, and opinions fly around like confetti, and it’s hard to know what to believe or how to feel. Sometimes it seems like the world is out of control—people choosing what’s wrong over what’s right, leaders making decisions that cause pain, and influencers promoting empty lifestyles. Proverbs reminds us that when the wrong people lead, everyone feels it (Proverbs 29:2). But God isn’t shaken. Psalm 2 shows that even when the world rebels, God sits in heaven with full authority. He’s not panicked. And Hebrews 1–2 points us back to Jesus—the One God speaks through now. He is steady, strong, and worth listening to when everything else gets loud.________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. Who's Leading Your Heart? Are you being influenced more by people and culture, or by God's wisdom? What voices are shaping your thinking?2. God Isn’t Nervous: The world might look like it’s spinning out of control, but Psalm 2 reminds us that God is still in charge. Do you trust that He sees and knows everything—even when life feels overwhelming?3. Don’t Drift: Hebrews 2:1 warns us not to drift away. Drifting happens slowly, almost without noticing. Are there areas in your life where you've stopped paying attention to God's voice?________________________________________BOTTOM LINEWhen the world gets loud and confusing, God’s voice cuts through the noise. He speaks through Jesus—our anchor and hope. Stay close to Him, and you won’t drift.________________________________________PRAYERHeavenly Father, thank You for being in control, even when the world feels crazy. Help me not to follow the noise around me but to listen closely to You. Teach me to love Your wisdom, trust Your plan, and stay close to Jesus. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
