The Christian faith is not easy. As followers of Christ we are called to walk in a different way, a way that is filled with ups and downs... often both at the same time. The ups come from connecting with God and finding joy in our relationship with Him. The downs come from living in this world that is far from perfect, where the flesh constantly tempts us to follow its ways and not God’s. There are many challenges when it comes to following Jesus, but there are also many gifts that make it all worthwhile. The Holy Spirit is one of these gifts. Understanding what the Holy Spirit means to me has been transformative in my life as a Christian.
