She has served on numerous boards for nonprofits, startups and higher education initiatives in Central Oregon. Among other recognitions, Tykeson was inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame in 2013 and was awarded "Person of the Year" by the Bend Chamber of Commerce in 2018. about Amy.
