Listen "As Central Texas housing costs rise, project with below-market rents planned for San Marcos"

Episode Synopsis

A San Antonio developer plans to build an apartment complex in San Marcos that will have below-market rents, putting the units within reach of families making less than the area's median income. The 216-unit Lantana Apartments will be built on about 10 acres at Rattler Road and Old Bastrop Highway, across from San Marcos High School. Plans call for 163 of the units to be reserved for families making 30% to 60% of the area's median income. The San Marcos project will be developed by Mission DG of San Antonio.
