Listen "9/1/23 - Fr. Anthony Amato"
Episode Synopsis
Fr. Anthony Amato is Pastor of St. Peter's Parish in Clifton Springs, New York. He was ordained a priest in June of 2017 by Bishop Salvatore Matano of the Diocese of Rochester, New York. In Today's Show What are your thoughts on the Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter? Can the devil read our thoughts? How do I have masses said for non-Catholics? I would think that word about Jesus would have gotten around pretty quickly, and that anyone who knew about Jesus at the time would have wanted to follow Him all His life. Why didn't that happen? Where could one inquire about requesting 30 Gregorian masses? Do faithful still request this? Can any priest do this if able? What is the best way to help convert family members who are comfortable where they are and have no desire to read or learn about Catholicism? Is it OK to receive our Lord at Saturday night mass and receive Him again at Sunday Mass the following day? Was Elijah's chariot ride symbolic of Christ's ascension? There is a person in our community who spreads the error and the priest in charge does not stop him. What can I do about it? Can Our Lord be left alone during Adoration? Thoughts about the Synod Is it sinful to attend weddings of Catholic relatives who get "married" outside the church? If someone falls asleep during Adoration, does it still count? Is it bad to use prayer as a punishment for children? I attended a Mass where the priest left the wine in the glass pitcher throughout the consecration. He poured the Precious Blood into the chalices just before serving to the people. Is this allowed?
