Stanford Lecturer + Arabology radio host Dr. Ramzi Salti interviews Erin Palmquist, Director/Producer/Cinematographer for the award winning documentary "From Baghdad to the Bay."
This critically acclaimed film follows the journey of Ghazwan Alsharif, an Iraqi refugee and former translator for the US military who was wrongfully accused of being a double agent and ostracized from his family and country as he struggles to rebuild his life in the United States while coming out as an openly gay man.
The film is screening at the Arab Film Festival in San Francisco on Oct 17th and in Oakland on October 19th.
