Listen "The Art of Survival: David Young Kim"
Episode Synopsis
David Young Kim is a Muralist and co-founder of KAA collective. Due to his Korean immigrant parents trying to establish their lives in America, he grew up as a latchkey kid, and without parental supervision he joined a Filipino street gang. After feeling betrayed by his gang, and by then living in a suburb of Los Angeles, he decided to attend UC Davis to escape his gang life. Following his graduation, he worked for a pharmaceutical company, which he quit after a tough breakup and became a church intern. Years later, he took art more seriously and did a masteral. Of course, we talked about his murals, his process of creating, the importance of them, and his inspiration for his art. 🎤ALL LINKS BELOW 🎧 YouTube: https://bit.ly/3g0qe2g Apple: https://apple.co/34KNRa2 Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2S9eQJx RedCircle: https://bit.ly/3yZWX0m Instagram: https://bit.ly/2SW06Oc Facebook: https://bit.ly/3x0QLDP 🎨Connect with Dave👨🏽🎨 Website: https://www.daveyoungkim.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/daveyoungkim https://www.instagram.com/kaacollective If you survive, please share and subscribe.
