Listen "Prime Time - Conversation with Del from London (pt. II)"
Episode Synopsis
This is the second installment of our three part conversation with Del from London. Del explains to us what his day to day life looked like while he was in the London Church. There is much to say on this matter as he has spent the better part of ten years with the organization. He explains to us the concept of placing members on “the weak list.” Del also introduces us to the term “prime time," which was a term the London Church used regarding recruiting. Del and Aldo explain to Cousin the Eddie the idea of dating within this church and some of the dynamics behind that. They also discuss how members would attempt to impress other members of the church by how stating how many bible studies one conducted and by how many years one had been a member of the church. Del gives us his take on why the infamous letter was written and the Sabbatical Letter that preceded it. Del also mentions the levels of control that the London church imposed on the membership by doing such things as banning particular books. SPECIAL NOTEThis conversation was recorded before Matthew joined us and gave his take on the timeline of the release of the letter.
