DAY 5I consider that what we suffer at this present time cannot be compared at all with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18See the way we celebrate Jesus on Easter Sunday and beyond and the way we celebrate Mary as the one who had the privilege of being the mother of the Saviour... But we forget that before the resurrection, Mary, full of favour and grace, was standing by the cross of his Son; the cruel soldiers stretched Jesus’ battered body upon the cross and, with heavy hammer blows, drove the sharp spikes into his hands and feet. Jesus, her son, the Son of God, is dead. In her heart, Mary dies with him. Two broken hearts—one pierced with a spear, one pierced with sorrow—become one; Jesus’ body is later taken down from the cross and placed in her arms. Mary embraces her son with a love beyond words, beyond grief itself. “ Let it be done according to thy will, Lord,” she prays. And we are told all this is according to God’s plan😳?PRAYER INTENTIONWe pray for God's mercy to help us to make meaning of our sufferings that are favour oriented.
