There's a saying in Hollywood that it's all about who you know. I hate this saying because it creates a limiting belief that if you don't network, you can't make it. That's not true. The best for of networking for me is to just create good work and let word of mouth and such spread. After all, the reason you'd want to network is to be able to work with people. When people see your work and are drawn to it, they'll seek you out. This is exactly how my whole career has worked. And, the good news is, today you don't even need others. The platforms of distribution and the content creation tools themselves are so easily accessible and available to us all that it really is all about the content. So focus on that and not on "networking". Networking will come naturally.
